1) Provide a general description of the work activities of the RARE Intern and the reports, studies and project completed during time of service
* LNWC - Action Plan document, LNWC pamphlet included and RARE reports
2) Provide a list of volunteers who participated including the work accomplished and the total hours worked (available on request)
3) A list of other participants who assisted with the project
UofO RARE program = $15,000.00 in cost share, intern and community training and network support.
Nehalem Watershed Council Coordinator = provided support to council developing and overseeing RARE project implementation and daily support to RARE Intern for the length of the project.
LNWC Chair = providing daily oversight of RARE work plan implementation and support to RARE Intern.
LNWC WQ volunteer database manager = provided guidance and oversight of data entry activities related to volunteer water quality monitoring project.
Council members = provided support to Intern in finding suitable housing, tours of local area, friendship, project development and technical support.
Natural resource agencies = technical support as needed (DEQ, ODF&W).
4) An accounting of the expenditures of Board and other moneys, in-kind services and other donated materials see attached expenditure report & in-kind donations report
5) Such other information as would be helpful in evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of project methods
This project was successful because:
A meaningful work plan was developed ahead of Interns placement and then was updated on a regular basis as tasks were completed and new projects arose.
Coordinator and council members provided ongoing guidance and support to RARE Intern.
We were very lucky to have attracted a bright, capable, charming and willing person to serve in our community.
