ODA Responsibilities include:
- implementing the SB 1010 Program
- managing confined animal feeding operations
- assisting and educating farm operators
Senate Bill 1010, approved by the 1993 State Legislature requires
the ODA to help reduce water pollution from agricultural sources
and to improve overall conditions in a watershed.

|
DEQ Responsibilities include:
- enforcing provisions of the Clean Water Act
- development of water quality standards
- monitoring water quality and identifying streams that do
not meat standards (303 list)
- development of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) to guide
the process of improving stream water quality
|
|
ODF Regulates timber harvist pratices to insure that :
- adiquate riparian buffers are left on streams to keep the
cool,
- runoff from roads does not polute streams,
- culverts under roads alow for fish passage.
|
|
ODFW Responsibilities include:
- conducting physical habitat surveys (including streams and
wetlands) assessments and improvements
- providing technical assistance to agencies and citizens
- managing hatcheries
- managing fisheries
The ODFW has one of the largest roles in implementing the
Oregon Plan for Salmon.

DLCD Responsibilities include:
- implementing the Coastal Non-point Pollution Control Program
(CNPCP)
- identifying estuarine restoration opportunities
- creating (statewide planning) regulations for riparian and
wetland protection
|
|
Responsibilities include:
- monitoring, reporting, and protecting stream flow
- improving and maintaining fish passage
- managing in-stream water rights
|
|
DSL Responsibilities include:
- establishing removal-fill permitting requirements
- reducing in-stream gravel removal activities
- revising essential salmonid habitat standards
- coordinating restoration, education, and planning activities
with other agenciess.

|
OMB Responsibilities include:
- enforcement of marine and aquatic habitat-related laws
|
|
|
ODOT Responsibilities include:
- improving roads and culverts
- implementing habitat enhancement projects
|
|
|
|
|
OWEB provides guidance
for the implementation of the Oregon Plan for restoration and
enhancement of watersheds. They are the primary source
of funding for implementation of the Oregon Plan. |
