WOOD SORRELS

Oxalis oregana

Grows in moist woods along coast. Feb.-Sept. Oxalis Family (Oxalidaceae). Two natives of this vast, world-wide genus are fine woodland garden plants. Our forest-carpeting wood sorrels form rosettes of attractive clover like, three-parted leaves. Flowers are borne on short erect stalks above the leafy rosette. An aggressive carpeter of the forest floor.. Both species, from our coastal forests, are easily propagated from rhizome pieces.
