Roy Creek

Roy CreekSummary:  Roy Creek, a tributary of the Nehalem River, has at least 2.5 miles of high quality spawning and rearing habitat for coho and other salmonids that is currently blocked by a culvert crossing under Foss Road and the Port of Tillamook Bay Railroad at the mouth.  The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has rated the replacement of the Roy Creek/Foss Road crossing as one of the highest priority restoration projects in Tillamook County.  The Lower Nehalem Watershed Council has applied for funding for engineered plans and construction cost estimates for a fish passable crossing.
