False Lily of the Valley
Maianthemum dilatatum
Lily Family
Found in moist, shady woods. Grows from slender, branched
creeping rhizomes, 4-16 inches tall. Parallel-veined heart-shaped
leaves.
Tiny white flowers with 4 petals (unlike usual 3s of most
species in the lily family) several to many flowers in terminal
cyclindric cluster. Small red berries, light green at first,
turning to red.
