Fendier's Waterleaf
Perennial herb from a short, thick rhizome and fleshy, fibrous
roots; stems solitary, leafy, hairy, 8 to 16 inches tall.
Large leaves alternate with a blad up to 10 inches long and
6 inches wide. Flowers are white to purplish, bell-shaped, to
1/3 inch across, the 5 stamens sticking out. Flowers in compact
clusters on stalks from upper leaf axils.
