Or ir' ye cam' tae wield the brand, on these Bonnie Banks o'-Yarrow

5. Fower he hurt an' five he slew, on the Dowie dens o' Yarrow.
Until that knight cam' tae him ahint, an' ran his body thro'-o'.

6. Gae hame gae hame guaid brother John and tell yer sister Sarah.
Tae come and fetch the noble laird, wha's sleepin' soond on the Yarrow.
